A Few Things About Me...

Yes, I’m related to the bad guy through marriage. And both of us like to shoot.

I love the beach. I love to travel. And I love to take photos. Photography really makes me feel alive.

I’m so happy that I get to do what I love for you.

My favorite artist is Ansel Adams.

I love a good beer and a great laugh.

The sea is the place to be for me.

Save the Memories

WHY You AND I NEED PORTRAITS

I’ve always had an interest in photography. But after my mom passed away from cancer in 2013, I discovered a greater appreciation for portraits and candid photos.

You see, my mom didn’t like getting her picture taken. I don’t really know why she never wanted to be in the shot. Maybe she was a little self-conscious as she aged.

You can probably understand that. I get it too. I feel it now too. I’m looking older. I need lose some weight. I totally understand. But after Mom died, I realized that we have very few quality pictures of her.

So, I decided to make a conscious effort to get in front of the lens. Regardless of what we look like and even if we could stand to lose 10-15lbs, it’s important to do it for the ones we love.

Get in the shot. Be present with your family.

It might sound morbid, but we don’t know what the future holds. Our kids go from babies to graduates to newlyweds in what seems like minutes. And we go from new moms and dads to empty-nesters to grandparents even faster.

Don’t lose those precious moments!

Some say that a picture is worth a thousand words. But they’re more than that. Pictures are a path from the present to the past.

The perfect photo can help you relive the most joyous times in your life.

Save the memories with beautiful photos of your family.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR PHOTOSHOOT

FAQs

I’ve found that clients have all kinds of expectations when it comes to portraits. Typically, we’ll shoot on location. St. Augustine is a great city with plenty of awesome backdrops that evoke real joy and it comes out in the engagement, lifestyle, and headshots we create.

Of course! We’ll pick an awesome location to get great photos of the whole gang! I have twin boys so I know it can be tough getting kids to pose for photos. We’ll make your photoshoot fun for all!

You can wear anything you want. But here are some tips you might find helpful. Words and logos are distracting. It’s best to avoid those. Plus, trendy brands often don’t age well. Neon or excessively bright colors mess with skintones. I’m happy to offer personal suggestions with your consult and before your shoot.

Along with your shoot, I offer professional editing services. I typically offer proofs within 2 weeks. Depending on the number of photos you select and additional editing required, final images are usually delivered within an additional 2-4 weeks.
I include editing with all the images I deliver. RAW images rarely come close to the vision I have when I take a shot. To me, a photographer delivering an unedited image is like a painter delivering an unpainted sketch.
I use tools like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance your photo. I remove distracting people, objects, and artifacts. I’ll often try to eliminate temporary blemishes that popped up before your shoot. But I try to keep it real. Your portraits should help you relive your memories, not create fantasy.
